High road to KPWA

On Saturday, May 21st, the flying was not quite the same, easy going, fun time that it had always been. There was a lot of traffic due to a WWII warbird fly-in, and it was getting hot. Surface temp was around 95-100 and only 88 degrees at 4500 msl.

Andy had me doing power-on and power-off stalls, those are always a little difficult to do and slightly nerve racking, because I'm not quite sure what the airplane is going to do. After awhile we came back for some touch and go's at the airport. On the first landing, it felt bad, nothing was quite right and I couldn't feel the airplane. As I tried to touch down, nothing was working and I decided to just "get out of there" and went to full throttle and climbed out for a go around. The next two landings were okay, with the final a nice bounced landing.

The whole flight felt messy. Ahh, pilot training. Love it.
